Children's Experiences in 2024

Most everything at Project North is open for children, but here are a few activities created specifically for our little humans in 2024.

Create A Bug House

Join the Girl Scouts and use your creativity to create a bug house!

Cube of the North

Created by local artist Wolfgang Ryan, The Cube of the North has become a staple of Project North. Be sure to come and leave your mark on the cube!

Face Painting

Face painting will be available in the Kids Zone during scheduled times.

Free Festival T-Shirt for Kids

The first 20 kids who arrive at the Kids Zone on Saturday will receive a FREE Project North t-shirt!

Improvisational-based Interactive Play Space

Drop in and have some creative group play time exploring various Theatre Games and maybe even some impromptu performances. Hosted by theater artist Steven Hunter.

Lego Challenge: A Future Without Waste

Led by Oneida County 4-H, youth ages 5-18 will get to create imaginative solutions to the real-world challenges of eliminating waste and pollution and keeping products and resources in use.

Little Library

Stop by the free library where our young festival goers can get cozy with a book and even take one home with them.

Marvelous Mustelids

Learn about Mustelidae (the weasel family), their roles in the environment, and mustelids found in WI through touchable specimens, then play-hunt like a mustelid through interactive predator/prey tag.

Music Wall

Make your own music at the Project North Mini Music Wall!

Nature Collage

Create a keepsake nature collage with naturalist, JoAnne Lund.

Nature STEM

The Early Childhood program from Nicolet College is hosting a nature-based STEM activity that involves art, creativity, problem solving, and science.

Papermaking

Make your own paper!  Kids Zone Sponsor, Ahlstrom will be onsite offering a papermaking activity.

Spoons for the People

Spoons for the People leans into the playful side of music, combining the sounds of uncommon folk instruments and improvising along the way!

Youth Yoga/Storytime

Erin Dix will offer bedtime/wind down youth yoga and storytime at 7pm on Friday evening.  Brittany Webster will offer afternoon youth yoga/storytime at 3pm on Saturday afternoon. Storytime from Nicolet College's Ali Pichowski.
