Open Call For Installation Art

CALL FOR ART

We are thrilled to invite visual and performance artists to participate in this year’s Project North Festival, happening in downtown Rhinelander, Wisconsin on September 20-21, 2024! We are now accepting applications for artists to display their work on festival grounds.

We are looking for interactive or visually engaging art installations or performance art to enhance the experience of festival-goers. All mediums will be considered.

Fill out the application below before midnight on June 15th to be considered for selection. We will announce the chosen applicants in July.

Your application must include

• 3-5 images of your proposed project (these can be sketches, mockups, videos, etc.)
• A short project description including your proposed budget
• A list of relevant skills and experience that help ensure the success of the project

We are most interested in pieces which include at least 1 of the following aspects:

1. Interactivity
2. Visual aesthetic at night

All chosen applicants will receive:

• Compensation anywhere between $50 and $500 towards the cost/time of creating your installation.
• Early access to the festival grounds to set up/install your piece.
• (2) 2-Day passes to Project North 2024 so that you (the artist) and one guest can set up and keep tabs on your installation throughout the duration of the festival and enjoy the rest of the event.
• Lodging will be provided for any artist selected from out of town.

PLEASE NOTE: You must provide your own transportation to and from the event. You will be liable to dismantle your piece on Sunday September 22nd if you would like to take it home with you.
