Nate Sheppard is a multimedia artist with a specialty in music and video. He enjoys incorporating various media elements into his performances and is continually pushing the technological boundaries on what’s possible in a live performance space.

He draws inspiration from experimental artists such as Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, honing his particular penchant for the melancholy and sublime. He has a love for the vocoder and incorporates its unique vocal textures into some of his music.

In addition to music, Nate was also the winner of the 2019 recipient of the Northern Arts Council’s Emerging Artist Grant for his immersive multimedia art installations.

More notably, he is the artist behind The Waythrough installation which will be on display at the Project North Festival on Friday and Saturday from 1pm-8pm in the upper level of the WXPR building.
